What is Auskick?
AFL Auskick is an introductory program and is the best fun kids can have being active! In weekly sessions kids will explore the world of AFL, building football skills and playing in a safe and super fun setting. Expect small groups, heaps of games and parent/guardian involvement.
Who is Auskick for?
Our Auskick program is run specifically for kids 5-12 years of age. Kids turning 7-9 have the option to join a junior team if they wish to play competition instead of Auskick.
Is there any contact in Auskick?
At Auskick level, there is no contact, just great fun. The kids learn to use balls of different shapes and sizes, which develops their hand-eye coordination, whilst using the specifically tailored Auskick equipment. This ensures it is safe for all levels and abilities.
Are there games involved?
Auskick sessions are non-competitive and are run at our home ground - Weeraman Fields Muswellbrook. In 2023, we may be asked to participate in half-time exhibition matches at AFL games, however this is not guaranteed.
Can my child try a session for free?
Yes! We understand that some children (and parents) may be uncertain about participating in the Auskick Program. Because of this we’re pleased to offer session one of every Auskick Program free. This gives your child the opportunity to trial Auskick before registering and completing payment.
Please ensure you see our coordinator prior to session start and confirm that you’re attending the sessions as a come & try.
