Both teams went down to Singleton last Saturday with the Men's team kicking off proceeding's at 10am playing for the Nathan Duncan Shield before the Women's team taking the field at 12pm.
Men's
The Cats started the game very quickly armed with an open forward line and some very unselfish play to lead at the quarter-time break by 49 points. Much of the same continued for the rest of the game even after some key personnel were changed up after half-time with the Cats running out 158 point winners and retaining the Nathan Duncan Shield. Jayden Galvin was lethal up front with 8 goals (6 before half time) and the midfield combination of skipper Jordan Solly and Jake Connor tore it up all day.
The Boy's travel down to Gosford at Adcock Park for a 10am start this Saturday to hopefully keep the winning start to year going.

Women's
The Roosters started the game very quickly and at half time had raced out to a 33 point lead. The Cats refused to quit and started clawing back with 2 goals in the 3rd term and 3 goals in the 4th term and at one point only trailing by 9 points. Singleton kicked the last goal of the game to seal victory by only 15 points. Nichola (the better Benko) Benkovic slotted 2 goals up front and the midfield took over after half-time.
The Lady Cats now have 2 weeks off to freshen up before taking on
Port Stephens at Ferodale Park on the 27th of April (potentially 28th April).
