The weekend was a story of 2 halves and the better side on the day took the game away with desperation and composure when it mattered. The second quarter of football was the best quarter played by the boys all year and saw the Cats pile on 5 goals and take a 14 point lead at half time. The second half saw The Entrance Bateau Bay utilise the wind in the third quarter and then play slow composed football in the last quarter to edge towards victory. The Cats failed to kick a goal in the second half; registering 9 behinds in a mix of wasted opportunities and bombing the ball into the forward line blindly with the wind in the last quarter. Whilst disappointing; a sixth position finish was fitting for the boys who struggled to get numbers on most weeks and poor training numbers throughout the year. A big off-season is required and some more commitment for next year and the boys will be back can go a couple of games deeper into the finals in 2020.

With the season now done and dusted presentation night will be held at Hollydene Estate in what promises to be another amazing night like last year. A bus will be running from Muswellbrook to Hollydene and home again at the end of the night and tickets can be purchased from the website link below.
