The Cat's take on Terrigal-Avoca at home this Saturday at 12pm in the first home game of the year following last weeks wash out.
Terrigal-Avoca, while a new team, is full of experience and have a had a cracker start to the season so tomorrow will be a challenge for us but one we are really looking forward to. Training attendance is improving and we have been working hard on building up our skills up and down the field. I look forward to seeing Chloe Annandale and Steph Seagrave sharing the rucking duties and the return of Paris Adam to the centres will add another level of experience to the strength we have been building in there with our newer players.
Everyone has a role to play and I am confident that if we keep doing that, focus on our game plan and hit our targets we will be competitive.
Player in focus - Samantha Rodrigues
Sam is one of our original, "I'll just fill in this week" players who then came back again and again and has become an important part of our on and off field leadership team.
With Nat and Eila unable to train in May, Sam has really stepped up and is gaining confidence in her leadership skills and game understanding and is always willing to help explain rules, skills and team strategy. Sam is a player I can put almost anywhere on the field with confidence that she will play hard and make an impact.
This weeks preview is brought to you by the Muswellbrook Laundrette.
